Amorgos & Astypalea Islands (Greece)

What a magic. To be able to experience these 2 beautiful islands is a chance really.

First lets start with Amorgos, where the Big Blue movie was shot. Definitely give it a try too.

The parts of the island that you shouldn't miss are the Aegiali, Agia Anna and of course the Chora (center).

We stayed at Aegiali, a much more peaceful part of the island, it is on the north. To swim, I can definitely recommend here.

Also, take your yoga mat and book with you, and head to the Agia Anna, where people sunbath on the rocks. But the water is amazing.

For the restaurants, I would definitely insist on Tsansistoraki (Chora), the food was so delicious but a bit crowded, you may have to wait for a table. They won't take reservations.

Limani Restaurant, again in Chora, you may want to make a reservation here, and ask for a table at the terrace.

Have a dessert at Kallisto (Chora), and have a drink at Botilia or Jazmin. Try these places both before and after dinner. You will definitely have fun dancing afterwards.

2 or 3 days will be enough in Amorgos.

So lets head back to Astypalea

We stayed in the Chora this time. Prepare to climb the hill, because the Chora has been built on a hill in this island.

The island's name comes from butterfly as it's shape looks like it.

A magical island.

For swimming, I would definitely recommend Paralia Vatses, it is a secluded beach with a small bar in it. The phones won't work there, and the road is a bit messy but you shouldn't miss this place. The other one is Kaminakia.
